Hi everyone!
I was recently offered -- and accepted -- a full-time one-year position teaching English in the Czech Republic.
Needless to say, I was supremely pleased with this development. But with respect to my long-term goals, I see this job as putting me one step closer to being near relatives I have in France (Paris) and to obtaining permanent residency in the EU.
The question I have for forum members is this: what advice do people here have for an American without an EU passport looking to eventually move into a TESOL position in a (difficult) Western European market? I've heard it's much easier to transition between jobs once in EU territory, but I wanted to see what others with had to say about this issue.
Thanks so much --
Maude A.
